<p><strong>Fees &amp; Charges</strong></p>

<li>Loan Interest will commence immediately upon graduation.</li>
<li>Loan Interest is based on the average Prime Lending Rate of the three local banks.</li>
<li>Penalty Interest of 1% per month on the instalment amount will be levied if the instalment repayment is not promptly made.</li>
<li>Additional interest of 1% per month on the loan outstanding will be levied if an instalment repayment plan of a minimum S$100 is not commenced within 2 years from interest commencement date.</li>

<p>Income Tax benefits: Under section 80(e) of the Indian Income tax act, a person can exempt the amount paid against the interest of the education loan &#8211; either for self or for his/her spouse or children &#8211; for eight years from the year (s)he starts to repay the loan or for the duration the loan is in effect, whichever is lesser.</p>
